Overall its OK. Could use a bit more detail on the locked out password error message (check email In addition to call). Good work!

Stop asking me for my password!

Writing a review here in hopes that the developers see this feedback. First of all, the good - the app itself has decent functionality. My reservations are made through my company and as long as the corporate travel people put in my Avis Wizard number properly, I can see them in the app. Cool. The reason for my three-star review is two-fold: 1) Too much security. It seems I have to enter my password nearly every time I open the app. Oh, and its one of these things where it makes you have numbers, letters, etc. in the password. Then, once youre in, it still ***s out your last name, wizard number, email address, etc. in the reservation details. Why? Ive already entered my password at this point! 2) If you have Avis Preferred/First, there should be a big freaking option in the app that says WE HAVE GIVEN YOU CAR X, IT IS IN STALL Y. Avis sometimes emails me with this information, but why not have the app send it as a push notification? Also why not have the app give a couple of options for cars (if upgrades are available) and let you choose? (I think I know the answer to this - probably because the app has to interface with some legacy IBM 360 compatible IT backend to actually do the upgrades...) Overall, the first item (too many password requests) is the reason for the three-star review, the other thing is just a suggestion. I tend to use this app while walking with luggage through a crowded airport after just landing somewhere, I dont want to have to try to remember and enter my Avis password. Just leave me logged in.

Very poor app!

As an app maker, I would go out of business if my apps were so not working! I cant even enter and pick a location. So I cant reserve a car. Congrats Avis!

Do not update

After the update, it cannot open anymore. Now I need to use a different renting car company :( Thank you Avis

Latest Update crashes instantly

Like others the new update crashes immediately upon opening. iPhone 6 iOS 8.4.1

AVIS App gone from Bad to Worse

What a way to screw up something working App Dev Team :(. The App doesnt work at all now. Rebooting of iPhone 6 doesnt help it either. What a shame? Doesnt deserve any Star at all but you have to throw a Penny in the Water :(

v9.2 Crashes instantly / v9.2.1 Update

Version 9.2 was released on Sep 10th. I tested this update on my iPhone 6 Plus and with my iWatch. Both devices are using the latest iOS versions currently available as of Sep 10th. After the 9.2 update, the AVIS app crashes instantly. Oh and before you ask no, turning it off and on again does not correct the problem. This means the problem is on your end, Avis. The pre-9.2 AVIS app also asks repeatedly for the login password. This is an app, not a website. An app should remember your login credentials if I choose to allow the app to remember them. Update: Version 9.2.1 was released on Sep 12th. This quick update came two days after the previous 9.2 update. The 9.2.1 update does seem to have addressed the crashing issue though. The app now appears to be working fine with both the iPhone and iWatch. Something to consider. I only use the app and I frequently rent from AVIS. Rather than having an iPhone only app, I suggest making a joint iPad and iPhone friendly app. Also a little QA/QC on your end, prior to releasing any app updates, would go a long way towards satisfying your customers and ensuring a better overall AVIS experience.

More passwords more annoyiing

Theres nothing worse than having to screw around with a second set of passwords when you are traveling and need information. The app already has a password, but now just to see my reservation details i have to remember and enter another password. Its just a booking does this really need to be protected? So now i use the check in desk personnel for any questions about my booking. If Avis wants to make everything harder, then Ill use a warm body to confirm my reservation details.

New Zealand app for Canada!??

Why would the New Zealand app be posted in the App Store for Canada? Surely an error, but who will fix this??

Buggy app

Search interface is completely broken, you cant even select different locations. Even though I have the app, I still go to the website to make a reservation.

Makes me not rent from Avis anymore

There is a fundamental feature on this app: choose pickup and drop off location. This app never been used by the person publishing it because it is a priority zero bug and makes it impossible to use. When you search for a location, results come up under the search dialog, making it impossible to choose. 1 star is all you will get.

Worst Customer Service

Worst customer service in the business. They dont care about your issues or your business. Good luck if you use them, hopefully you wont get a car like I did that smelled like a wet dog and was literally wet inside.

Worst app ever

Every screen takes over 10 seconds to load, like seriously! Plus it never knows whether to save my login info or kick me out and ask for it again, so weird

Terrible app

Very slow, and looks for rates after EVERY new selection. Change time, date, location? Have to wait. Should be make ALL selections first, then go search for rate. Very buggy and slow.

Awful Avis App. Useless.

Useless App. Shows my wizard name and number. But says I dont have any current reservations. Or past reservations. And yet I am driving a n Avis reservation right now. Avis technology - both the website and now this is so far behind. Useless. - from an Avis preferred plus member.

Fail faster

Great for the first 1 second until it redirected me to almost non mobile site to sign up for a wizard number. Lost me already

Great idea but too slow to be of value

It takes far too long to navigate to reservations and details.

Horrible experience

Please fix this app. Constantly freezes. Cant find confirmed reservation. Deserves zero stars!!
