Avis - Car Rental App Reviews

This is a surprisingly excellent app that has a lot of features and allows preferred members to choose their car right from their phones. The app is quick and does not seem buggy at at all.

When it is working its a good app. But Im finding most of the time when I go to book a rental is says i need to call the 800 number or try again later. It just doesnt work all the time.

Programming isnt that difficult folks. Why do I get a continual message that the network is down? Why cant I pull up reservations by YOUR reservation number ?

The app is flakey and freezes up a lot when trying to use it. Avis seems to be going out of their way to market the new Now feature, but that functionality is sketchy at best. I tried using it at a supported location, but the app didnt let me access any of the screens to change cars. Fine if they arent ready to roll it out yet, but stop plastering all the screens bragging about it. Rent elsewhere... Avis is a lot of talk, but their competitors are better at execution.

I was given a vehicle model that I didnt want. From the app I went to "Exchange" but then again was presented with a single option for another vehicle I didnt want. Ultimately, Avis Rewards program is a scam. Already reported this organization to the Better Business Bureau for unethical business practices.

I thought this would helpful as I travel a bit. Its very flakey and logging into the account is a pain.

A completely non functional app. Nothing works. Apple should remove this from the App Store.

It seems to sort of work, but finding anything in this app takes 10 minutes of hunting. No screen works the same as other screens.

Well who knows. My user ID is all lowercase and the app translates to all uppercase.

Add a "add to wallet" feature!!!!

This app is only good to make a reservation or to view a reservation. I am unable to do any of the new functionality that was advertised.

Dont know what others are complaining about. I find it is working well and is fairly easy to use. Gave it 5 stars to help it along. Of course as a phone app it is limited in what all you can do, like most all car rental apps due to basic complexity of use. Sometimes you just need to use a web browser or call do get everything done.

Can only switch to GM cars using this app. Should rename it to "General Motors Now" instead of "Avis Now". Misleading customers on the functionality.

Great app, but it lacks ApplePay & 3D Touch.

The app errors and wont allow me to view/modify reservations that are linked to my account. They are listed but wont open.

App lets you check in when you return car doesnt work had to spend 1/2hr on phone with Avis to straighten out

How shocking a giant corporation like Avis could put out a piece of junk like this and actually have their name on it. Hurts the whole brand. Obviously written by the group that brought us Obamacare web site, oops sorry, that works while this does not.

Buggy. Crashes regularly. No useful selection of vehicles in Avis Now. I go to the spot in the app - normal car not there. I press change, and get a selection entirely of well aged minivans. And it seems to happen every time I rent. It was a nice idea, but the execution and app are terrible.

Worked well. Rented a Chevy Malibu. Made everything easy from reservation to check out.
